Mr. Bennett has devoted his practice exclusively to Family Law matters since 1985. He represents clients who demand excellence and expect their counsel to aggressively defend their interests, whether during mediation, negotiation or trial.

Mr. Bennett is honored to have once again been selected for inclusion in Southern California Super Lawyers. He is also proud to have received an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubble’s Peer Review Rating for 24 consecutive years. This rating status represents the highest level of esteem and accolade from his contemporaries in the legal community.

In addition to recognition, Mr. Bennett has served as President of Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association (LACFLA) from 2016 through 2018, and in 2013 was Co-Founder and President of the Family Divorce Solutions (FDS). Mr. Bennett has served as a lecturer on Family Law for California’s Continuing Education of the Bar, providing his expertise to other Family Law practitioners. He has also shared his knowledge with the public at large, through the community outreach television series Legal Forum, where he served as writer, producer and presenter. Mr. Bennett has proudly held the positions of President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee for the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Trustee for the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Outside the legal spectrum, Mr. Bennett has volunteered countless hours to youth sports organizations in the community, serving as coach, referee, fundraiser and board member. He is particularly proud of his involvement with the burgeoning sport of lacrosse. He has been an integral part of the establishment of the sport in Southern California and its inclusion as a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sport for both boys and girls at the high school level.

Denise Turner is a dedicated and hardworking associate at the Law Offices of Leon F. Bennett where she zealously advocates for her clients. She leverages a strong background of negotiation and strategy to represent clients in the area of family law.

Denise strives to achieve the best results for clients in an efficient manner, beginning at the earliest evaluation of each case. Denise primarily focuses on complex child custody disputes, domestic violence, parental alienation, child visitation and divorce matters.

Denise works to keep the best interests of the children in mind and ensures that her clients feel heard, and their interests protected. She is dedicated to professional excellence and reassures her clients by keeping them informed at every stage of the process and developing a comprehensive plan of action.

Prior to joining family law, Denise developed significant experience in civil litigation matters, primarily in business and real estate litigation. She successfully marshalled cases from complaint to trial, and has prevailed in mediations and arbitrations for her clients.

Denise excelled as a law student where she earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, graduating with cum laude distinction in 2016. Named to the Dean’s List all three years while at school, Denise also served as a board member for the Journal of International Law, earning the position as a Lead Editor.

During law school, she dedicated her efforts in helping families with low incomes, externing at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law and working at the Children’s Rights Clinic where she advocated for children of families suffering from mental illnesses of all ranges.

Denise also graduated with a Public Service award, volunteering more than 500 hours of her time in providing pro bono work.

Shant C. Martirosian is an advocate who consistently places the interests of his clients first. He will aggressively advocate for your Family Law needs, regardless of what they entail.

Excelling as a law student, Shant earned his Juris Doctor from La Verne College of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. Named to the Dean’s List all three years of Law School, Shant also served as the Vice President of the Student Board Association.

During law school, Shant gained crucial experience assisting with the Appeals process of individuals charged with Criminal Misdemeanors, while simultaneously assisting individuals facing persecution from their home country obtain asylum and Citizenship Rights to the United States.

The learned experiences throughout Law School made abundantly clear to Shant that practicing in the field of Family Law was what he intended for the remainder of his career.

Since being sworn in to the California Bar, Shant has exclusively practiced Family Law, assisting clients with matters entailing Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Spousal Support, Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, and Child Visitation.

Known for his client-centered approach, Shant works diligently to ensure each case receives the attention it deserves. He is committed to upholding the highest standards of legal ethics while providing effective, cost-conscious representation.

In addition to practicing law, Shant has an interest in politics, animal rights, and fitness.

Lina Esmeirat is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Leon F. Bennett.

Lina attended Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law where she received her Juris
Doctorate. She has been a licensed attorney since 2018. Since licensure, Lina has gained a wealth
of legal experience and skills in serving her clients with their family law needs.

Lina specializes in various family law matters including divorce, property division, child custody
and visitation, child and spousal support, mediation, domestic violence restraining orders, and
prenuptial agreements.

Lina is passionate about family law and offering legal representation to her clients. She is a
zealous advocate for her clients and provides a personalized approach in guiding clients through
incredibly difficult times in their lives. Lina maintains the legal, communicative, and advocacy
skills needed to effectively represent her clients in their family law matters.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching movies.
